Fred Hoffman is an American church volunteer in 1950 postwar Germany serving as a missionary during the Potsdam Agreement, where the thunder of bombs has been followed by the clash of ideas. Upon arrival, Fred encounters and helps a young German boy, Willy, whose family are refugees now living in squalor. Papa Koerner is a former city councilor and member of the Nazi Party who still believes the state should be the source for all authority and that all Germans should not be paying the price for the evils committed by the nazis. Despite the father's ideology, Fred is determined to help his wife Frau Koerner, and his daughter Erika, who mysteriously earns the money necessary to sustain the family. The film demonstrates the ideological crossroads between the kingdom of the state and the Kingdom of God. The cast includes John Alberts, Philip Cooledge, Mildred Dunnock, and Constance Ford in her first film appearance.

Long running BBC comedy show consisting of sketches and humourous musical routines involving the large Ronnie Barker and the small Ronnie Corbett. Most sketches involved both men, but occasionally only the one. Barker was excellent at fast talking and complicated dialog. Each week Corbett would tell a short joke and in doing so he'd digress and tell a dozen or more unrelated jokes on his way to the main punch line. Each series contained a mini comedy series as well as characters that'd return weekly. Also on the bill would be a musical piece from a well known singer/group.

The Time Lords have dispatched the Doctor (in his 2nd incarnation) along with Jamie to a space research station to see Dastari, the Director of Projects, about dissuading two of his scientists from further experimentations on time travel that are rattling the fabric of time. The Doctor is further alarmed over Dastari's latest genetic experiments, boosting the intelligence of a bestial and carnivorous humanoid race called the Androgum. This secondary concern soon proves the greater problem: the Androgum have sided with the Sontarans to take over the station. The station soon falls and the Doctor is captured and tortured. As his life becomes threatened, elsewhere the Doctor (in his 6th incarnation) passes out while on holiday with Peri - his very existence jeopardized.
